Overview
Almond Roca 2.5 cups almonds 1 lb butter 2 cups white sugar 1 8oz chocolate bar Butter 16 x 11 x 2 pan Spread 2 cups toasted chopped almonds on buttered pan (save 1/2 cup for top). In heavy pan, melt 1 lb butter. Add 2 cups white sugar, stirring constantly until it reaches 300 and turns dark. Pour mixture over almonds. Let cool 2 to 5 minutes. Place pieces of 8oz chocolate bar over candy and spread with fork. Let cool and break into pieces.
