Fried Rice (Submitted by Chris) Collect the veggies you want to eat. You can cut them into small pieces Put some oil into the wok, just enough to coat the inside, so nothing sticks Start with a little bit of onion Heat up the oil, medium heat Then when it gets hot enough (you can feel it on your hands) add the onions Add the rice when the onions are just starting to brown (you'll need to kind of smash the rice since it'll probably be clumpy) Turn down the heat now so you don't burn the rice (This is all in the wrist; keep the rice moving to keep it from burning) After a minute or two, or whenever the rice starts to heat up Add an egg if you want And just sort of scramble it in with the rice This is a good time to add any veggies you might like (carrots, etc) Then, this is just a matter of turning it over until the rice cooks And the eggs are done And you'll be steaming the veggies at the same time The perfect endpoint is getting the veggies done at the same time the eggs are done at the same time the rice is just starting to dry out.
